A Safer Penn?: From The Rape Whistle to the Newly Installed Campus Wide Siren (VIDEOS)


Back in my college years, if you had a problem, you could blow your Penn rape whistle or go to one of the blue “call” boxes on campus and dial for help.

Rest assured undergrads, grads and prospects, Penn continues to up their safety measures.

As of this past week, Penn has installed more than a dozen sirens on campus as part of the emergency alert system.  Check out the news report video above to learn more! Also listen to Maureen Rush, Penn’s Vice President for Public Safety unveil the Siren Outdoor System, “PennSOS”.
