He’s A Nickelodeon Finalist and He Needs Your Vote!

Nickelodeon

Since we’ve been doing Pennfest here in LA (the emerging film and music festival), I have seen more and more great animation shorts from Penn’s Digital Media Design department.

Now news that an undergrad from DMD is a finalist in a reputable animation festival.

And he needs your vote…

Jason Merrin (C’13) is one of 28 finalists in the 2009 Nickelodeon Animation Festival for his two and a half minute film called “The History of Animation”.  If he wins, he takes home $5,000.

As you’ll see above, the film documents his animation skills from stick figures to computer animation.

What People Are Saying

"Because of Penntertainment, I got scouted for Nickelodeon. I had such a great time talking with them. I may be a resource for a show on science, travel, geography, gender etc. Thanks for all you do. It really makes a difference."
