MARKETING (TV)

Spotlight on Anastasia Kouriatova (C’09)

Anastasia KouriatovaAs a producer at Civic Entertainment Group, Anastasia handles all aspects of creating an experiential marketing campaign – everything from brainstorming campaign ideas, creating pitch presentations, putting together campaign budgets, managing vendors and contractors, executing the event on-site and creating recap reports after the campaign is over.

This fall, Anastasia worked on the GOTHAM (TV show) activation where she worked with her team to come up with the vision and concept of the GOTHAM umbrella installation and New York City takeover, something that hasn’t been done before as part of a promotion for a television series. She worked with several artists and designers to figure out how to make this idea into a reality and worked closely with a props designer to coordinate assembling all of the actors into position on location.

Along with figuring out how to execute the client’s vision for this photo takeover, she also sourced all of the actors, hired hair and makeup team with whom she designed a custom prosthetic nose to apply to each actor, sourced each photo location and styled each actor in an Oswald Cobblepot suit.

More on the GOTHAM “Penguin” take-over:

To promote the highly anticipated series premiere of GOTHAM, FOX deployed an army of forty Oswald Cobblepot “Penguin” look-alikes to visit highly trafficked locations in New York City the day of the premiere. Each of the characters had a unique umbrella and when assembled and opened together, the umbrellas spelled out GOTHAM with tune-in information. As the look-a-likes roamed New York City, they handed out GOTHAM-branded penguin-style sunglasses and GOTHAM lenticular lanyards.

Robin Lord Taylor joined the penguins for press visits to FOX & Friends, Good Day New York and The Todd Show. Small groups of penguins visited press offices across the city to drop off “sardine cans” and take photos with entertainment writers and editors. The penguins also joined Robin Lord Taylor in front of the iconic Newscorp Building for press photos. Other visits throughout the day included stops at: Times Square, Rockefeller Center, New York Public Library, Madison Square Park, the Flatiron Building and the Central Park Zoo.
