PUBLISHING

We recently posted about Allison Winn Scotch (C’95, Theta) and her book The Theory of Opposites, which was optioned by Jennifer Garner. Now, read the following three articles she’s written about self-publishing. For anyone interested in following this path, Winn Scotch gives some excellent insight. And maybe she’ll introduce you to Jennifer! But probably not.

  1. The New Era of Self-Publishing
  2. A Brave New World: Let’s Do This
  3. “Self” Publishing: It Takes a Team

Emily Frances was our favorite on-air Entertainment TV reporter in New York. Now, she’s an entrepreneur and parent and she’s about to become your favorite mom.  Check out her new site HowToMomTV.com, which features interviews with top NY medical experts and celebrities like Kelly Rutherford, Denise Richards and Fran Drescher giving parenting advice in various short videos.  Most recently she posted a video featuring Dean Cain.  What we’re really looking forward to, though, is an installment from Kim Kardashian (not a Penn alum) pictured with Frances, below.

UTV 13 is getting bigger and fancier. Below, view a video we found on their super swanky new website. It’s quirky and it’s weird, but we enjoyed it.

    Hi Penntertainment!

I’m from UTV, and the video is actually from the show I’m producing (Penn Lunacy)! It has me taking the role of Gandalf too haha.

Just wanted to to reach out and say thank you for the publicity and praise, and I’m excited to actually be mentioned on your wonderful site. It’s been a recent treasure trove of info for us undergrads just now deciding to go into entertainment; You’re making an awesome difference 🙂

What People Are Saying

"Because of Penntertainment, I got scouted for Nickelodeon. I had such a great time talking with them. I may be a resource for a show on science, travel, geography, gender etc. Thanks for all you do. It really makes a difference."
