Penn in Hollywood: “Writing a Good Spec Script” (VIDEO)

UPenn

Yesterday, I posted a video about a Penn alum asking our Penn in Pictures panel about the art of the pitch.

Today’s question from our audience to both Sherri and Lew is:
“Why was your Spec Script Successful?
…and What is some good advice in terms of writing one?”

Any suggestions of your own to offer our Penn community?  Comment below!

Check back next week for Sherri’s answer on “Where she gets ideas for stories on “Brothers and Sisters?”

A special thanks to editor David Chalfin (C’96), a fantastic editor living in Los Angeles who recorded and edited all the Penn in Pictures videos. Check out his reel here!

What People Are Saying

"Because of Penntertainment, I got scouted for Nickelodeon. I had such a great time talking with them. I may be a resource for a show on science, travel, geography, gender etc. Thanks for all you do. It really makes a difference."
