Penn President Amy Gutmann’s musical commencement speech (VIDEO)

Amy Gutmann

In light of John Legend being this year’s commencement speaker, it seemed fitting that Dr. Amy Gutmann dedicated her commencement address to the theme of “the soundtrack of our lives”, cleverly weaving in musical clips throughout her speech.

Some of my favorite parts include:

  • Dr. Gutmann’s tickled reaction around minute 9 after the “Gangnam Style” clip plays
  • Audience reactions after musical clips play
  • The appropriately fitting clip she closes her speech on

Check it out below and congrats to the Class of 2014!
