These Penn Sorority Girls Are Helping to “Kill the Chill” (VIDEO)

UPenn Sorority girls

This week Penn’s Greeks are uniting for a good cause.

UPenn’s Panhellenic Chapter of Operation Warm will host “Kill the Chill” Week to benefit the Operation Warm organization which will raise money to donate new winter coats to the students of the local Drew Elementary School who might otherwise be unable to afford this winter essential.

As the inaugural partner of Operation Warm’s University Program, Penn’s chapter hopes to reach this year’s goal of $5,000.

“Kill the Chill” week will include various daily events that will encourage donations on campus. Events will include:

  • a “Kill the Chill” benefit concert on Thursday, November 5 from 7-9pm (performance by on-campus groups such as Dischord A Capella and Destination Hip Hop) Tickets will be sold on Locust Walk.
  • on Friday evening Sprinkles Frozen Yogurt will be donating 15% their sales to Operation Warm.

All of the donations will go directly to purchasing the new winter coats, which will be distributed to the Drew Elementary School students on November 18th.
