A few years ago at the Grammy Awards, Penn alum musician Carly Robyn Green sang as a back-up vocalist for Cee Lo Green. When Carly confided to Cee Lo that it’s the timeless, classic songs that inspire her most as an artist and songwriter, he encouraged her to focus her own artistry on making music that matters to her – music that endures.
And it’s this music that has resulted on her new beautiful album WHAT LOVE IS ALL ABOUT (listen below!).
Join Carly for her first big show to launch this new album next Friday at Rockwell: Table & Stage on Friday, January 30th at 8pm!
Seating is limited, so advanced purchases are encouraged. And check out this great recent write-up on Carly on Examiner.com.
Her tracks have been on NBC’s “30 Rock” and “Fashion Star”, ABC’s “One Life to Live”, Showtime’s “The Real L Word”, HBO’s “Hung”, Lifetime’s “Dance Moms”, BET’s “Born to Dance”, the CW’s “Beauty & the Beast”, “Fly Girls”, and “Remodeled”, MTV’s “The Real World” and “Made”, “Teen Nick’s Degrassi”, and E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, as theme songs for We TV’s “I Do Over”, LOGO’s “Pretty Hurts”, and The Movie Network’s “The Right Hand”, as movie title tracks for American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars and Slightly Single in LA, in films including Life Happens starring Kate Bosworth and House Bunny starring Anna Farris, in movie promos for Fox’s What’s Your Number, and on international records in the Jpop, Kpop, Chinese and Spanish markets.
Congrats Carly!
