DT’s B&P: Television Writers, Actors and Musicians, Oh My!

UPennThis week’s roundup has Penn alumni acting, writing and performing music on TV shows…and then much more certain speculation about one alum becoming Hollywood’s big cheese…

  • It seems pretty sure that Disney Channel’s Rich Ross (C’83) will be heading up Disney.  More HERE

  • Rewind“, the music of Siddhartha Khosla (C’98, Off the Beat) and his band Goldspot was featured at minute 20:21 of this past Monday’s “How I Met Your Mother.” (watch HERE)
  • More news of ABC loving Penn alumni…ABC network gave a script commitment to a project called “Friends with Benefits” written by 500 Days of Summer scribes Scott Neustadter (C’98, TEP, 34th Street Film Editor) and Michael Weber. The TV show is about “20-something friends who realize its time to make long-term decisions about life.”   To all those aspiring TV writers out there, note that writing a successful movie first is one path to getting your TV series made!
