Penntertainment

His video metaphor for leaving college

There certainly are a good number of digital animations coming out of Penn these days.

Brendan Marnell (C’05) created a very cool short called “The Lift” for his Fine Arts thesis project from his 2005 senior year.

Per Brendan, “It’s a short animation about a character leaving the world he knows to enter a future he cannot predict. He faces rejection, but ultimately finds a path for himself. Looking back, I think it has a lot more to do with my own situation of leaving school than I realized at the time.”

Can you see this in the video?

Brendan currently works as an animator and graphic designer outside DC.

…Reminds me of another video I posted about a few months ago having to do with graduating from college.

What People Are Saying

"Because of Penntertainment, I got scouted for Nickelodeon. I had such a great time talking with them. I may be a resource for a show on science, travel, geography, gender etc. Thanks for all you do. It really makes a difference."
