Despite racial tension in the early 1970s, Michael Abramson (W’70) shot photos in the Chicago Southside nightclub scene which fueled his career as a successful photographer for numerous national and foreign magazines including Time, Newsweek, BusinessWeek, Forbes and Sports Illustrated.
Michael has shot some prestigious subjects including former presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, Oprah Winfrey, and Michael Jordan. Other photos subjects included workers in a recycling plant and wild mustangs in South Dakota.
His story has recently been told in the Chicago Tribune. (Read the article below!)
