Earlier this week, I covered THIS Penn alum’s 7 Oscar nominations for producing The Fighter.
Turns out he’s not the only Penn alum in the game this film award season!
After the jump learn about another Penn Producer’s Oscar nominated film (also from the same Class of 1995 that Todd is from)
And it’s this alum’s second time at the Oscars!
(l to r:) James Franco, Danny Boyle, and Tom Heller |
This week, Tom Heller’s (C’95) 127 Hours were nominated for 6 Oscars for James Franco – Performance by an actor in a leading role, Film editing, Original score, Original song – If I Rise. Best picture, and Adapted screenplay.
Tom co-produced the film with his company Everest Entertainment who co-financed the movie.
And Tom was at the Oscars (and Golden Globes) last year too for another big film of his:
“Being at the Oscars last year for Precious was a big highlight, and I never really anticipated that I’d be back there again this year.
Beyond 127 Hours, I’m an Executive Producer on Win Win, directed by Tom McCarthy (THE VISITOR, STATION AGENT) and starring Paul Giamatti. We premiered the film last week at Sundance, and it opens in theaters in mid March.”
