The Sony Pictures Television Games group is a fast growing and highly successful group tasked with leveraging Sony properties to continue to be an innovator in the digital space. The group oversees distribution of Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy! games, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! brand extensions (Wheel of Fortune Cubed, Sports Jeopardy!), original IP games (Suits and Swords) and more across a variety of platforms, operating systems, devices, OEMs and carriers. This group defines the business strategy, product positioning, and development approach, both for the updating of current brands/products and the creation of new brands/products.
The Production Assistant (Intern) will provide development support for games and applications for Mobile, Online, Social and other emerging platforms including Apple (iOS), Google, Amazon, Windows Phone 8 & Windows 8, RIM and Facebook. The Production Assistant (Intern) supports the production process including collection of reference material for content production, gathering source material from other Sony divisions, and production deliverables for Sony branding and asset specs.
The Production Assistant (Intern) will work closely with other key Production stakeholders to understand and deliver against platform partner requirements and specifications. The Production Assistant (Intern) will be responsible for supporting the Games Producer in all aspects of product development and will receive specific support assignments for this role. This includes ensuring the Games Producer is regularly updated on milestones, features and deliverables.
The Production Assistant (Intern) will also liaise with key internal business units such as Sony Pictures Television & Sony Pictures Entertainment to get source material for content production. The position will support the Games Producer with all supporting game development documentation (Submission Forms, GDD’s, FAQ’s, How to Play docs, etc.).
The Production Assistant (Intern) will also participate in new game and feature development and will be included in product brainstorming sessions, prototype development and playtesting.
QualificationsThe Spectrum Internship Program’s summer session is a full-time, 40 hour/ week commitment lasting for an 8 week period from late June through mid-August. All applicants must be in good academic standing and available for the entire 8 week session.
· Some game Development knowledge and/or Project Management experience (can be office related and not game specific)
· Some understanding of the Mobile Game market (Platforms & Trends).
· Some understanding of different business models in mobile games today.
· Personal experience playing Mobile games
· Must be able to work well with others and to effectively manage others for execution results.
· Ability to work independently, to meet tight deadlines under pressure and to handle multiple duties at once while staying organized.· Experience with both Macintosh and PC computers required.
· Results oriented, Self-motivated and disciplined.
· Able to multi-task like a pro.
· Sense of humor and positive attitude
· Strong team player w/ good people skills
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Creative Services encompasses a broad range of functions across all lines of SPT. Creative Services core team takes care of all the Print, Digital and On Air needs of the Marketing & Sales teams. It is a creative team working across these three (3) main mediums, with many multi-media projects involving all three.
This is a perfect position for someone who wants to understand the business side of the Entertainment Industry, and how the industry is evolving with technology. This individual will be exposed to the creative and strategic areas of SPT. As in intern with us, you will be assisting the Creative & Marketing teams with web-based archiving, conducting research, developing interactive web applications and presentation materials and preparing reports for the team.
The intern will learn how print and video materials come together to create interactive web sites functioning to support the overall business and client needs. The intern will learn the building blocks of site maintenance and QC to understand what it takes on an on-going & daily basis to ensure a quality and up-to-date site.
This may include but is not limited to:
* Creating, auditing and maintaining websites and/or digital assets for a variety of clients
* Assisting in the maintenance and archiving of SPT sites
* Assisting with regular archival and upkeep of digital file library
* Participation in research for large long-term projects
* Testing and analyzing new site functionality for team projects
* Providing support as needed for Digital Creative Services Team on creation of websites, eblasts and digital marketing materialsQualifications

The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a diverse, fast paced environment.
The skill requirements include detail-oriented, self-motivated and the candidate should possess knowledge and experience with digital media, including content management systems and web terminology .
A good understanding of Microsoft Office (primarily Excel) is desired. Photoshop, Illutstrator and web coding experience is a plus (knowledge of HTML, CSS and XML are preferred).
You will be required to work independently and creatively at times, and also with a team. Intern should be flexible and willing to work in different areas of the department. Intern should be solution-oriented and should be able to diagnose and report problems to colleagues.

The Sony Pictures Television digital media team creates and maintains web sites, tablet and mobile applications that serve customers throughout the world for such brands as Animax, AXN, Sony Entertainment Television and more. We oversee the digital operations and overall health of our platform of digital media products for our regional teams in Europe, Asia, South Africa and Latin America.
The person in the role of Technology Associate Intern would work on the facets of the technical operational aspects of maintaining the SPT international network of web sites and apps. They would learn and work on the platform’s technology stack, including our web sites and video delivery apps, analytics as well as administrative tasks applying to our various technology platforms, information security domain and DNS setup as well as documentation.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with technical administrative tasks on our various platforms, including Akamai, ThePlatform and JIRA
Assisting with site launch taks, such as:
Setting up social network apps
Submitting new sites and apps to the information security team
Verifying analytics and ad code
Light QA of sites where necessary
