FILM
Todd Lieberman’s (C’95, Mask and Wig, AEPi) new celebrity-filled Muppets Most Wanted (releases March 21, 2014) just got a full US trailer. Waka waka!
The shpiel: “This time the entire Muppets gang is on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two (Ricky Gervais). Look out for appearances from Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Ty Burell, Ray Liotta, Celine Dion, Salma Hayek and P. Diddy!
Elizabeth Banks (C’96) is at it again. Penn’s hottest alum has been Legofied in a new Lego trailer. Check it out below. So fierce. But in all seriousness, this entire trailer is amazing.
Todd Shotz (C’96) is crowdfunding a new film titled Shepherd: The Story of a Jewish Dog (yes, really). It’s based on an Israeli novel about a German Shepherd who belongs to a Jewish family during WWII. The SS takes him and trains him to sniff out Jews. This all goes swell until the canine sniffs out some Jews that smell extra familiar. Oy!
