COMEDY

Kelly Diamond (C’13, Friars) (That’s me!) is going to try not to sound like a mega douche as I tell you about my new blogging project titled Ok, Stupid. It chronicles my sad life as a single lady in LA and how I am attempting to find love through online dating. My mom thinks it’s funny and my grandma is horrified by it but you can make your own assessment by checking it out here.

Lizzie Sivitz (C ’13, Bloomers) is a newbie to LA and is trying to make her way in the entertainment industry. Knowing that many people are on the same treacherous path, Sivitz and roommate Jake Mallove have started a podcast called “The Silly People Serious Jobs Podcast,” which features comedians talking about their serious day jobs. Laughs are bound to ensue. For updates on new episodes, like the Facebook page here.

MUSIC

John Legend (C ’99, Counterparts, Sphinx) has  another cool thing to add to his list of accomplishments. Legend sang the National Anthem at the BCS National Championship game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA on 1/6. The game was great but Legend was obviously the greatest. Someone give him the MVP trophy.

Off the Beat, one of our favorite a capella groups at Penn, has just released their newest album called Polaris on iTunes. Buy the whole darn thing or just the songs that move you here. I highly recommend “Iscariot”, which made me (and half my friends) cry at the OTB show last Fall.

What People Are Saying

"Because of Penntertainment, I got scouted for Nickelodeon. I had such a great time talking with them. I may be a resource for a show on science, travel, geography, gender etc. Thanks for all you do. It really makes a difference."
