Matt Johnson (C’99, Mask and Wig) recently shot and produced a short titled “47 Things Every Actress Says During Pilot Season” with his wife Kimmy Gatewood, who stars. Check it out below, especially if you’ve ever been involved with the madness that is Pilot Season!
Alum Schatar Sapphira Collier was just one of many who were a little shaken up by the recent earthquake in LA. After a video of two news anchors reacting to the quake went viral, Collier and her hubby decided to film a funny remix for the newsies. Check it out below!
Aaron Karo (W’01) is best known for stand-up comedy and his novel Lexapros and Cons. Now, Karo will be hitting the stage in LA to headline the annual Hollywood Improv. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, be sure to grab tickets for this one-night-only event on Friday, May 16th.

Samuel Goldberg (C’09), a film producer and developer, and Gabe Oppenheim (C’09), a writer, have just created a web series parodying Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”. The two friends are now busy being “Pedestrians in Bars Eating Toffee”. Check out their first video, below.
Remember when Josh Rabinowitz (C’10) was featured in some Apple commercials a few years ago? Now the actor and comedian is head writer and star of TruTV’s new sketch comedy show “Friends of the People.” There is already a ten-episode order and you can expect to see the show hit the small screen in Summer 2014.
Actress Irene Park was recently featured in a sketch on Tosh.0 where Daniel goes to a North Korean spa. Let’s just say that Irene’s performance has some good bite to it. Warning: the first part of the clip is gross.
THEATER
Jonah Platt (C’08, Off The Beat, Friars) is gracing the stage once again. Platt plays the title character’s brother Homer in Adam Guettel’s Floyd Collins, a show about a Kentucky caver who gets trapped. The curtains rise on March 27th and the show continues until April 13th at La Mirada Theater for the Performing Arts. Grab tickets and more information here!
