Ben Grinberg (C’11, Quadramics) is taking the circus back from the French! Check out the video celebrating the first birthday of Almanac Circus, America’s foremost contemporary circus company:

 

Producer/Composer Billy Jay Stein (C’91, WXPN) was recently nominated for a Grammy for “Best Musical Theater Album” for Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Billy Jay Stein also worked with THIS alum and did the electronic music design and keyboards for Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark. More stories about Penn alumni working together here.

POWER MOVES

Stacey Snider (C’82) has left DreamWorks to become co-chairman of 20th Century Fox. Hasta la vista, Mr. Spielberg!

Congrats on the new job, Stacey, and congrats on being named to Hollywood Reporter’s 2014 Women in Entertainment Power 100 list! She’s got the power!

Melissa Rivers (Tabard) speaks for the first time at The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Women Event in a tribute to her late mother Joan Rivers, calling her “brave” and “fearless”. She will be missed.

 

FAREWELLS

Recently, Penn closed the Western Regional Office in Los Angeles and we here at Penntertainment want to take this opportunity to thank Associate Director of Penn Alumni Regional Clubs Kiera Reilly (C’93, Sphinx) for all her help, guidance and support that she has provided us and the Penn Club of Los Angeles over the past 14 years. We will miss you!
