Not only had Penn alum Schatar Sapphira (Arts House Resident, Inspiration, Penn Black Arts League, Penn Gospel Choir, Penn basketball manager) made it to the final six of Penn alum Mark Cronin’s (ENG’86) “Flavor of Love” and soonafter appeared on “Charm School”, but she has created quite the career for herself and certainly knows how to market herself!
Okay, so there’s a lot going on with Schatar and she certainly puts it all out there …in more ways than one.
See what I’m talking about below…
She’s an actress:
Recently, Schatar has appeared in “High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story”, which can be seen on Starz and Encore is now on DVD.
Schatar has starred in the Game Show Network’s Jerry Springer’s “Baggage”, “CSI Las Vegas”, LVCVA Convention Authority Commercial, “CSI Miami”, “NCIS”, “Boston Legal”, “The Soup”, “Take The Cake” “Waist Deep”, “Flavor of Love” and “Charm School” and is set to be principal star in an upcoming Vampire Movie.
Had performed in her own National Theater (DC) production, three Kennedy Center productions, BB Kings NY, and V Theater, Las Vegas.
She’s a hostess:
Star and Producer of “What’s Next: The TV Series” airing in European countries on Sky Network:
She’s a singer:
Velocity Magazine Awards Best Alternative Artist Nominee.
Original music on sale now on iTunes and Amazon (you have to listen to “why she loves balls” – made it to CD Baby’s “The Top 40”, it’s pretty catchy.)
Opera at Peabody Conservatory. Per Schatar, “While singing I reach high octaves hit by a small % world wide. That means watch out crystal glasses.”
An invited singer and Celebrity Speaker at different national sporting events and award shows.
She’s a giver:
She has created “DreamWeaver Council”, a newly established organization dedicated to raising the awareness of individuals so that they can focus on, work towards and accomplish their career dreams. (website to come)
Schatar is certainly a unique individual and something tells me we’ll be seeing more of her on TV sometime soon.
Alumni producers out there, you’ve gotta have a role for Schatar, no?
"Because of Penntertainment, I got scouted for Nickelodeon. I had such a great time talking with them. I may be a resource for a show on science, travel, geography, gender etc. Thanks for all you do. It really makes a difference." -Lisa Niver C’89
