Justin Malone (W’15) is native of Memphis, TN who is studying Marketing and Operations Management and Entrepreneurship in Wharton. Justin is involved with the Black Student League and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc on campus. This summer he is a Brand Solutions Intern for BET Networks in NYC.
Why BET?: I applied for the position because it was a unique opportunity. I had the chance to bridge two of my interests together: media & entertainment and integrated marketing. Working on both in my day-to-day just seemed ideal.
Take Us Through A Normal Day: A normal day in the office of BET is hectic but fun. Specifically in Brand Solutions, we’re always in brainstorming meetings trying to find the perfect way to integrate a company’s product with our brand. Additionally, we make and pitch slide decks full of our ideas. In essence, we keep the company’s doors open by thinking of ideas that generate money for the company.
What’s Your Favorite Part?: I love that I’m able to make an impact & see it on-air and digitally.
