For our Penn alumni family only:

Non-Penn alum Peter Sollett, the director of NICK AND NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST, is looking for an assistant on his new film FREEHELD. FREEHELD will star Ellen Page, Julianne Moore and Michael Shannon, and shoot this fall in New York. The position would begin July 15th and run through November 1st.

Per Penn alum Tom Heller (C’95), “Peter is a great guy, and I think this would be a fantastic opportunity for someone to learn about producing and directing firsthand. Here is some info about Peter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Sollett . Please feel free to pass this along to any recent Penn grads that you think might be interested.”

Post your interest on this thread and I’ll email you directly with the proper contact info.

Leftfield Entertainment, a full scale television production company that creates a number of programs for various cable networks, such as Bravo, Lifetime, and the History Channel – including the international smash hit, “Pawn Stars.” is currently developing an exciting new series with a major cable network that will feature recent graduates from the country’s most prestigious universities who are now “underemployed”.

The economy has made it more and more difficult to land that perfect job, causing even the best and brightest grads to wind up in positions that are beneath them. For this project, we’re specifically looking for post-grads (ideally a group of friends!) in their early twenties who are working less-than-ideal jobs to make a living. The series will be developed around the group of friends and their lives (similar to some sitcoms you have seen or even Girls on HBO).
